Process in painting, drawing, sculpting, and writing are extremely key elements in a piece of work. In some cases a collection of variables occur during the making that will alter the outcome of the final creation. Materials, their applications, and the birth of congruous ideas will manipulate how one work befits another, especially in series work. An extremely interesting and detailed look into the struggles and successes of swelements in his latest wonder, Fragments, will reveal a timeless quality in a multiple of abstracted mixed media works, combined into one spectacular series that takes process and opens it up wide. this is very interesting, very arranged... yet... not.

on screen they look like regular overlappings, multi layered easy works etc...
but on paper I'm sure they look fabulous
and more... they smell coffee!

I'd love to browse through your hardware portfolio :(

these are great! - to me they are a parade of memories... of course punctuated by the essential coffee. the texture is beautiful. like memorites they are imprecise yet detailed. and there is something organic about the thumbnails. viewed from a distance... memories... just a texture, an impression, a feeling, emotion. lovely.

At first the title was "7 bits of longing" but I realise that you as the viewer and even myself can relate much more to the piece. So your interpretation is one element of the whole subject. It also underlines the fact that this one is still growing.
:iconmachinegoddess:
i would love to see it 100 pages long! stretched across the walls of a gallery. not seven, but 100 long(ing) piece taking up all that space.

Exactly thats the aim....
:iconmachinegoddess:
knowing the premium on gallery space, they'll probably make you hang it in a grid. although that could be interesting. on a wall at the end of a long gallery. the individual textures making an entire new thing. i wish i could see it on a wall one day. somtimes this meduim is very... limited.

Maybe I'll need to arange them in a 4x25 grid or something the like. Still have time though. Producing 100 of them isn't as easy as it sounds.
